small tips to have a safe and pleasant holiday in Kusadasi;
Beaches
While going to a daily excursion around Kusadasi,
main things you should bring are water, sun cream, hat
and a camera.
Don't stay in the sun between 12:00 - 15:00
without any protection. (hat, sun cream etc..)
Health
In Kusadasi there are two hospitals, private
hospital and public hospital. Both of them has all kind
of equipments with different needs. There are also dispansaries
to help you in case of your health problems. Most of the
3-4-5 star hotels has the sickbay and a private doctor.
Most of the medical centers and hospitals may assist you,
if you have medical insurance. The official hospital in
Kusadasi also assist at emergency.
Pharmacies in Turkey are open during the week-
except Sundays. If you are in need of pharmacy after hours
in Kusadasi, you can find a list of night time and Sunday
pharmacies on the window of any pharmacy.
Transportation
The traffic in Turkey is on the right hand
side of the road. Inside the city center, maximum 50 km
is allowed. The speed limit is 90 km outside the city,
130 km on the highway.
You should be at least 21 years of age, while
renting a car or motorbike. Driving license and passport
are must on renting.
You may use minibuses called “dolmus” for
short distances for short distances, that are available
during the day until 24:00. Dolmus is a special service
fount only in Turkey, which is a collective taxi following
spesific route. This is very practical means of transport
and much cheaper than a taxi.
Taxi meters run double between 12:00 am and
06:00 am. Do not get surprised if you are charged double
for the same distance after midnight
Shopping
Major credit cards like VISA, Mastercard,
Amex and Dinners Club and traveler's checks are accepted
in almost all the businesses. However, make sure to ask
before you purchase a product or service. You will get
a lower price on most of the goods when paid by cash for
two reasons: 1. Shops pay 7 % commission on credit card
sales to banks 2. Tax.
Banks
Government offices and banks are open Monday
thru Friday between 9:00 and 17:30 and have lunch break
between 12:30 and 13:30.

in illegal drugs in Turkey is very strict. So do not bring
or use any kind of drugs in Kusadasi
