COMMENTS FROM OUR GUESTS

Hi Tugrul,

Your tour was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation.  In addition to providing very interesting commentary and a valuable history lesson, it was really great to spend the day with you.  You and Emre will have continued success if you continue to treat customers the way you treated us.  Whenever we have the opportunity, we will definitely refer our friends and family to you.  As soon as I can get Shelly to organize our photos we'll send you a few.  Ron and I really enjoyed hanging out with you guys that afternoon, I hope you made it home safely!  Please keep in touch and come visit us in California some day soon.

best regards,

Scott

Hi Melih,

Just to say, many thanks for the great tour last week.

I will be sure to recommend you to any friends who decide

to visit Ephesus .

Kind Regards,

Neil.

We loved our tour! Oscar was our tour guide and he was excellent. My mother is handicapped and he helped guide her through the ruins. He was very knowledgeable and pleasant. He also took us to a wonderful rug school where we bought rugs. it was wonderful, much better than the rug shops that other tourists went to. (We heard about other tours on our ship.) We highly recommend your company to others needing a tour to Ephasus. The price was right also.

I have been meaning to write to you to tell you how pleased we were with our private tour of Ephesus. Tan Ergen, our Tour Guide, was fantastic! Thank you very much for providing such good service! We will be sure to recommend your agency to friends and colleagues.

Hello,

We enjoyed our tour of Ephesus very much.   The pick-up and transport back to the port was very easy.  The tour guide, Gonca, did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and providing us with information about the sites.  We will definitely recommend your company to anyone we know who may go visit Turkey.

(It was a little surprising when the port authority at Kusadasi took our passports for the day…. We are told by our government to never let anyone take your passport away from you (because they may be duplicating it), just let them stamp it and give it right back.  I know you have nothing to do with that procedure, but you may want to let people know that the passports will be taken and returned at the end of the day.)

Thank you very much!  Greetings to Gonca !

Janine

We did indeed enjoy our Private Ephesus Tour and day in Turkey.  And our guide, Emre was wonderful.  Will certainly recommend you to friends and hope to be back someday. Thanks again

Dear Tugrul Sokmen

Thank you for your message. My wife and my son have enjoyed their time in your Kusadasi hotel and wish you all the best in your business.

They wish you could look into putting wide range of modern music in the disco bar and possibly re-design the lobby.

I hope to visit this hotel myself as well.

Best Regards

Imran Hajiyev

Hello Emre,

I wanted to thank you for the tour of Ephesus it was great and appreciated your knowledge and bad jokes, lol, just kidding. Here is the posted I placed on Cruise-chat.com, the link is below, but you may have to sign up (free). I posted it under Europe ports under Kusadasi. Thanks again, and if you ever come to Toronto, let me know.

Post on Cruise-chat.com

Just came back from a cruise which included a trip to Kusadasi and we went to Ephesus with a private tour. We used Kusadasi Tours, www.kusadasitours.com and wanted to make a quick post for anyone interested.

We had Emre as a tour guide and it was a great day. Picked up at the port by Emre and his driver in a new air conditioned vehicle.
The tour was great and so was the lunch. They also took us to some shopping spots for rugs and leather goods.
Overall a great experience, competitively priced (was less than half the cruise offered tour).
And no I am not getting paid for this, lol.

Re: Tanner On May 5th my wife and I had the pleasure of having Tanner as our guide for a visit to Ephesus. We both concured that Tanner was the best guide we ever had. He was on time when our ship docked. His mastery of the English language was, propably better than mine. He posessed a thorough knowledge of the hisory of Ephesus and was very generous in answering our questions about present day live in Turkey. We learned about Turkish government, healthcare system, politics, real estate, tourism, economics and religion. He was wonderful.

Thank you very much

Dear Tugrul,

About 3 weeks ago, my husband, Dave, and I had a wonderful 6 hour tour including lunch at Sleeping Brothers with a guide and driver from your agency.  We were on Oceania Cruise and your tour exceeded our best expectations.  We have dear friends who live in Alabama and will be arriving in Kusadasi on the Seven Seas Voyager, Regent lines, on October 9th, arriving in port at 8AM.  They would like to have a wonderful day in Ephesus, as we experienced it, including a tour of Ephesus, Virgin Mary's House, and the Basilica of St. John.

Thank you very much for whatever assistance you can be and again we thank you for making our tour of Ephesus the highlight of our trip.

Sincerely,

Jacki O'Harra, 01.10.2007

This has been extreme pleasure to have spent nearly three days with you while we stayed in Izmir. We visited the lost city of Ephesus, Artemis Temple (fortunately to have visited this really)
Pottery making, silk weaving etc. etc. on day 1. Wow! that's amazing - isn't it?

Day 2 was a long drive to Pamukkale and we were amazed to have been able to walk past the calcium deposits brought over by running water - unimaginable life to be there. Thermal bath was a real hot experience.

Izmir city tour was the third day of our stay. It is a wonderful town blending new and old cultures culminating into wonderful traditions of hospitality. We(self, wife & doughter) had enjoyable time loved bread-so smooth and flavoured- were thrilled and come back again.

Tugrul is very well trained and excellent guide. He is very personable and fantastic friend to have. Serkan has been excellent helpful all of us. We're fortunate to have them with us. They did a great job. Thanks to them. thanks Izmir + Turkey. We love you all.

Hi Tugrul,   Just got back from our trip.  The time on the boat was fantastic.  The people were very nice and the trip most interesting.  Saw lots of ruins and other interesting things in both Greece and Turkey.

I just want to thank you for guiding us.  It was really a great day.  Possible the most fun we had on the whole trip.  I wrote to Shirin at STyle telling here what a great guide you are.

Hopefully we will meet again.   If you come to the US please let us know. We would love to see you.

We wish you much success

Thanks again

To Whom It may Concern,

On behalf of my family : Jesse, Courtney, Liene and me,  I would like to extend my appreciation to the Kusadasi Travel Agency and its staff for the wonderful vacation we had in Turkey. From the time we arrived in Kusadasi until we left we were treated very well. I would like to especially acknowledge the services of Tugrul Sokmen and Muge who served as our tour guides. Their knowledge of the area is extensive and they shared so many good stories with us. We will never forget their kindness to us! It is indeed rare to go on tours with guides who have such in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of the region. We would also like to thank Emre Ates who wanted us to have a good time and continuously asked what else we wanted to do. We would also thank our drivers Ali and Ahmet for their professionalism and expertise to guarantee us a safe journey!

I, and my family are so appreciative of the wonderful memories we will keep from our trip to your beautiful country of  Turkey. I can’t wait to return!!

Respectfully,

Billie Miller, Coral Springs, FL. U.S.A., 07.07.2007,

To Whom it May Concern:

We are at the end of our tour, and I wish to let you know that we absolutely are thrilled to have had some days here in Turkey with Turul. He was professional, intelligent, knowledgeable, and fun to be with. Both Katherine and I have had a wonderful time here with him and we learned quite a bit.

I will absolutely recommend your agency, and Turul in particular, whenever colleagues and friends come to Turkey.

Thank you, and kindly give Turul our regards and sincerest thanks.

John Arin Hasan and Tugrul

We had a wonderful time in Turkey and appreciate all that you did for us.

We are sorry we were not able to connect with you John and Arin directly, but we tried very hard.    We did visit the Potters House in Cappadocia and met Arins helper (What was his name again?)

Tugrul was our tour guide in Kusadasi and we had a great time with him.  He went out of his way for us. He did tell us that he was studying to learn more about Christian beliefs for his tourism business.  I told him that I would get with you and see if you might have a good Bible reference that he could have.  Perhaps a Turkish/English one.

Hasan was our tour guide in Cappadocia and we stayed at his Canon View cave hotel in Goreme.  It was great and he and his family and friends were good hosts and guides.  We bought a carpet from him as well.  All our Turkish friends said that we got a good price.  We should have bought more.  We also went on a fantastic balloon ride with him.

We put some pictures on the web at:
http://photoshow.comcast.net/john.anderson36/

If you can help us fill in any of the titles, that would be great.  I may get with you Hasan and Tugrul for more details.

Thanks again.  We hope we get to come back and visit Turkey again.  There was much more we should have seen and done.

EPHESUS

Ephesus is one of the world's greatest archaeo-logical sites. Founded around 1200 BC on the foothills of Mt. Panayir (Pion) along the shores of the Aegean where the Menderes River empties into the sea, and then moved to the slopes   of  Mt.   Bülbül   Dağı.

Ephesus was an affluent port city of 250,000 people, often described as the "first and greatest metropolis of Asia."

Religious Sites in Turkey Asia Minor

Urban civilization first took root in Anatolia. That the three monotheistic religions chose Anatolia as a base to spread their beliefs is an important signal. The faiths, having lived together for centuries in this setting, left their traces throughout this land. The globalization taking place in the information age had its ethical beginnings built on the synthesis that took place in this region.

On behalf of theTurkish Republic, welcome all those travelers to Turkey, seeking to find their roots while holidaying in the land of faiths.

CRUISE SHIP PORTS

ATHENS   The capital of Greece took its name from the goddess Athena, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge. This is where democracy was born. This is where that marvel of architecture, the Parthenon  was created. This is where art became inseparable from life, and this is where Pericles gave the funerary speech, that monument of the spoken word.

Piraeus (Pireas) has been the port of Athens since antiquity. The modern city, built on top of the ancient city, is a major shipping and financial centre. All the ships that link the capital with the island Greece and the rest of the world leave from this historic port.

Crete (Kriti) is the largest Greek island. It is the border between the Aegean and the Libyan seas and between Europe and Africa.  The climate is considered one of the mildest and healthiest in Europe.

Corfu (Kerkira) is the most popular of them all. It is a very green island and a mixture of the civilizations that have passed through at various times. The town impresses and charms the visitor with its two forts, narrow streets, tali houses, arcades, Venetian-built Town Hail, church to Saint Spyridon the island's patron saint, flower-filled gardens, and balconies with their superb wrought-iron fences. Flooded with sights, Corfu is a small paradise on Earth.

Mykonos is the cosmopolitan centre of the Cyclades. Its low rocky hills slope down to enchanting golden beaches. Grey-green boulders sprout prickly-pears and windmills. Despite the dazzling light the summers are refreshing. One can find beaches that are almost empty, or rub shoulders with hundreds of scarcely dressed beauties. White-washed cube-shaped houses are scattered about. İn the narrow streets of the town chapels and picturesque tavernas hide among folk art shops and stores selling jewelry and furs. Trends that vvill sweep the intemational scene are born in the intense nightlife of this modern resort

The largest island in the group is Rhodes, also known as the island of the Sun. The capital, City of Rhodes, is like a valuable Coin with two faces. One face, "heads", is the old town, a fairy-tale  place surounded by medieval walls and traversed by the Street of the Knights of St. John. On either side of the road is the old town with the Inns the Hospital of the Knights and the palace of the Grand Master. The other face, "tails", is the modern city with an intense nightlife, broad streets, beautiful buildings, large hotels, and hundreds of shops where anything can be found. The entire island abounts wth sights worth seing; from the archaelogicai sites to the fabulous beaches, from the valley with the butterflies to the ruins of ancient Rhodes, from the Acropolis of Lindos to the archaeological sites at Kameiros (Kamiros) and lalysos .
